Events
The JLT Tour is a year-round golf series built around a mix of competitive and social events, giving players of all levels the chance to get involved.
The calendar features a variety of formats, from individual Stableford tournaments and team Ambrose days to match-play championships and season-ending finals. Along the way, members compete for trophies, Tour standings, and bragging rights, while also enjoying relaxed, social rounds and special events throughout the year.
It’s designed to be competitive when it matters, social when it counts, and a great excuse to get the group together on the course.

JLT Tour Championship Event
The Open
The first official event of the JLT Tour season and open to all players. Members are encouraged to invite friends, making it one of the biggest and most social days on the calendar. A relaxed but competitive individual stableford event that sets the tone for the championship race.

Irish Classic
A fun and unpredictable individual and team event where the scoring format changes as the round progresses. Individual performances still count, but teamwork becomes increasingly important. It’s a lively day that keeps everyone involved right to the final hole.

Ambrose Open
The most social event on the calendar. Teams work together in an Ambrose format, selecting the best shot and playing on from there. It’s fast-paced, full of laughs, and perfect for players of all abilities. A great day for teamwork, banter, and a few memorable shots.

JG Invitational
A classic individual tournament where every hole counts. The JG Invitational is a true test of consistency, with players battling it out across 18 holes to claim one of the tour’s most respected trophies. It’s a pure, traditional day of golf and a highlight of the season.

Waterbury Open
Our feature away trip and the head-to-head championship of the JLT Tour. Played in match-play format, golfers face off in knockout rounds over two days (usually in a fun location) where every hole is a contest. It’s competitive, strategic, and always produces some classic rivalries on the way to the Waterbury Open trophy, Waterbury Plate and Bowl!

President’s Cup
A team event inspired by the famous international match-play competitions. Captains draft their squads and go head-to-head across a series of team formats. It’s all about strategy, though with plenty of banter along the way.

Champion's Plate
One of the most unique traditions on the tour. Last year’s champion takes charge, choosing the course, the format, and how the day runs. It’s a chance for the reigning winner to leave their mark and create a memorable event for the group.

JLT Cup
The grand final of the season. The JLT Cup brings the entire year together, with players starting based on their standings and chasing down the championship. Every shot matters as the tour crowns its overall winner in a dramatic season finale.
Social Event
Christmas Classic
A relaxed, end-of-year golf day in the Southern Highlands. The Christmas Classic is all about good company, festive spirit, and a casual round to close out the season together.

Masters Monday
We always try to get a group together for the Shortees Monday Masters Breakfast and pitch-and-putt event. Held on the final day of the US Masters, it’s a relaxed way to enjoy the golf, catch up with the crew, and have a hit.
